Sustainability goals 2030

In 2015, the UN introduced its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, supported by 17 Sustainable Development Goals - Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs. These goals promote socially, economically and environmentally sustainable development and must be achieved by 2030.

People: 100 percent engaged employees

Goal 2030: 100 percent engaged employees

For Indutrade, it is important that employees feel good and develop in the organization. It determines the success of the group. By focusing on continuous leadership and competence development, by creating inclusive teams and workplaces where people feel at home, and by providing safe and healthy working conditions, we can grow our business activities in the long term.

One of the most important prerequisites for a long-term approach to our business is for the group to have the right competence. At our subsidiaries, the main thing is to utilize the competence that is already present. We do this by further training key people and by exchanging knowledge and experience within the group.

We believe in giving people freedom and trust. This produces job satisfaction, pride and commitment. For Indutrade's long-term profitability, we must succeed in attracting, developing and retaining the right employees. We ensure diversity in our teams to promote development and innovation.

Furthermore, workplace health and safety is fundamental to Indutrade. We prioritize, support and promote investment in a better working and production environment.

Global goals to which we contribute primarily through our work with people

Environment: CO2 neutral (scope 1 and 2 GHG)

Target 2030: CO neutral (scope 1 and 2 GHG).

Climate is high on Indutrade's agenda and we believe lower emissions are crucial. The transition to alow-carbon economy includes a variety of energy and resource measures.

Since 2020, Indutrade has been measuring thecarbon footprint of the entire group for scope 1 and 2, and our goal is to become climate neutral on these components. We do analyses within the group, business areas and individual companies to identify relevant measures and priorities in our pursuit of climate neutrality.

We have also started to include scope 3, i.e. emissions upstream and downstream in our value chain, in the data collected from our subsidiaries to understand their magnitude and to incorporate them into targets and strategies later. The categories we measure now are purchased goods and services based on raw material content, upstream transportation, business air travel and emissions linked to scope 1 and 2 energy production and distribution. We will publish data for business air travel by 2022, and our goal is to publish data for the other three categories next year, when we can compile the complete data.

Products and customers: 100 percent of Indutrade companies contribute to sustainable customer value.

Goal 2030: 100 percent of Indutrade companies contribute to sustainable customer value

Our main objectives for 2030 are that all Group companies contribute to sustainable development for customers through their products and solutions. Our companies offer high-quality products with a long service life. Through good knowledge of customers' systems and processes, combined with great technical know-how, we often make their business operations much more efficient and provide solutions to reduce environmental impact or ensure other benefits, such as better working conditions.

Sustainability is increasingly central for customers, but also for society as a whole, and is crucial for continued growth and success. Therefore, promoting the development and sale of products with sustainable added value is an important issue for the Group. In particular, we strive to launch new products that consume less energy and/or have a smallercarbon footprint.

We also consider it important to measure customer satisfaction and apply the findings in business development. Furthermore, we encourage our companies to address sustainability in their customer surveys or other recurring dialogues with customers.
